The International Max-Planck Research School for Maritime Affairs at the University of Hamburg is providing a Ph. d. grant for a research associate / PhD-Student (19.5 hours/week) to carry our research in relation with sea ice dynamics in the Arctic Ocean. 

Anticipated starting date is May 1, 2010. The contract will be limited for two years with the possibility of a prolongation by one year; the results obtained shall be used for a dissertation.
