The work of the group is aiming at:

• understanding marine systems by means of conceptual models.
• development of complex numerical models of natural waters including astronomical tides, general circulations, mixing, water masses, transport of dissolved and suspended matter.
• application of models to the real ocean, to shelf seas and estuaries, lakes and rivers.
• analysis of observational and numerical data.
• improvement of numerical algorithms and computational techniques.
