This image was acquired a day later and at an earlier phase of the tidal cycle than the previous one. It shows a solitary wave pattern similar to the pattern one visible in the privious image. The distance between the leading solitons in the packet and the coral reefs is about 10 km. The eastern part of the second northward-propagating solitons has the larger radar contrast due to the decreased brightness of the background (area of Lombok Island wake). Solitons in the Indian Ocean also have a weak radar contrast.
